Lonnie Lee Partridge

Lonnie Lee Partridge, was born March 8th 1940 in Tulsa Oklahoma to Alonzo and Dorthy Lee Gaines Partridge.

He fell asleep in death at the age of 86, in his home in Depew Oklahoma August 17, 2026.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary and their two children, Janice Hudgins and Michael Partridge and wife Honey Hickman. Two grandchildren, Jennifer Lee and Chad Alan Hudgins, as well as son-in-law Alan Hudgins. Two sisters, Bille Marie Kilgore, Deborah Patterson, three brothers, Charlie Decatur, Danny and Robert Dawson. His brother-in-law Richard Ward and wife Laura, his two sisters-in-law, Becky Hoskins and husband Jerry, Lynn Batson and husband David. Numerous nieces and nephews who were very fond of their uncle "Butch".

He was preceded in death by Alonzo Partridge and his mother Dorothy, step-mother Evon, biological father Paul Dawson and two brothers, Jimmy and Gary Partridge.

At the age of 17 Lonnie joined the Army. Most of his military career was spent doing something that he thoroughly loved, playing football on a Fort Bragg team. Not long after being discharged, on June30, 1961, he married Mary Ward.

Lonnie was a hardworking, self-taught man who took pride in learning how to do things well. Although he had little formal education, he never allowed that to limit what he could accomplish. He made up for it through hard work, determination, practical intelligence, and a willingness to learn. Through years of experience, he became an expert heavy equipment operator, respected for his knowledge, skill, and ability to get the job done.

There are few people that could out work him. He was one of those men who just wouldn't quit till the job was done and done right.

When he wasn't working, you'd find him outdoors. Lonnie played just as hard as he worked. He loved horses and the ranching lifestyle. He was an avid roper in his day and if you needed help Catching an old wild cow or bull, he'd be there, horse saddled and ready to go.

In his later years he surprised everyone when he decided to take up golf. He loved to play even up until he became sick a few months ago. He will be missed by his friends at the stroud golf course.

A deeply meaningful change came in his life when he learned about his God, Jehovah. His faith became an important part of who he was, and he worked hard to put his beliefs into practice. He wanted to be a good husband, father, grandfather, family member, friend, and neighbor, striving to set a good example of Christian living. His faith was not simply something he believed-it was something he worked to live every day. He continued to grow as a Christian and hoped that his example would positively influence his family and those around him.

He will be deeply missed by his entire family, friends and his Spiritual family, the Bristow congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
